Some new purchases

I just had to post some pictures of some recent purchases from BHS

I Just love the colour of these mugs and the design.

Below are some tea towels I also bought from BHS.  Loved the design and colours again on these.  I have been known to even make cushions out of tea towels.

Below are pictures of tea towel cushions I made for my daughters bedroom. 

These cushions ended up being about 30 x 30 cm (maybe a bit less).  Tea towels are great as they are already hemmed and have quirky designs on. These were also 100% cotton. To give you an idea of how I made them see below.

First I had to fold the sides in by 9cm each side so I would end up with a square shape.

Then fold the end up toward the top. Leaving enough at the top to make a flap. Sew along the sides.

Stuff with toy filling (I used Minicraft Supersoft toy filling) and hand stitch the flap down.

A little cushion that’s quick, easy and quirky!
